As expected writing updates keeps slipping down my list of things to do. So now I have to remember what we did last weekend so I can write about it. Maybe I need one of those digital cameras that you wear and it just records everything. Bit of voiceover and you’re done. Presumably there’s the occasional time you forget to turn it off and that’s what your next prospective employer finds on Facebook.
So last weekend was summer in the UK. We had a lovely weekend of visiting Saville Garden and generally pottering around home. In fact in true British style, it was actually a bit too hot for the first weekend of summer. At least for those of us sweating over a BBQ on Sunday afternoon.
Sebastian is finally learning to ride his bike; I feel suitably guilty that he hasn’t achieved this already. It’s a bit like teaching Lila to drive and generally ends in tears.
To continue the garage conversion saga, we had a proper brickie around who tried to be polite about the brickwork we’ve had done. so we’re now considering having a third go at getting the brickwork done properly at the back of the new bathroom. Obviously I could do it myself. If I had even the faintest idea how to lay bricks.
We had Kevin, Kate, Eric and Kai around on Sunday afternoon for a BBQ and a pleasant end to summer (the weekend). And then the perfect end to any weekend – finishing loading my bank transactions so my accountant can complete my company accounts.
And now it’s Friday night. Went to see Enron (the ‘musical’) on Wed night which was pretty good. Reminds us how easily we forget the dumb stuff we did just a few years ago. Back to work….happy Bank Holiday.
