So it’s been a few weeks since the last post…and I’ve now run out of excuses for posting an update. So to several weeks of updates.
Sebastian has been getting private swimming lessons to increase his confidence in the water. He has lessons as part of his class activities at Manorcroft but it’s hard when you’re in a big group to get that one on one attention that builds confidence. So he’s had several lessons and is happy getting under the water, paddling on his front and back and generally being comfortable in and under the water.
We had our annual family pilgrimage to Legoland which involved rain and attractive Lego-branded plastic raincoats. You can see photos from Legoland in our Flickr photostream – they’re not tagged so you’ll have to scroll through a few….
Isabella turned 2. She has such a determined little character that you definitely know she’s arrived at the ‘terrible twos’ – fortunately for her she’s also georgous so pretty much gets away with anything (with me at least). We had a little party for her and she was the lucky recipient of lots of lovely presents and managed to eat large volumes of cake and sweets.
Lila and I managed a night away at Langshott Manor near Gatwick. Highly recommended for a weekend break. We had Lila’s mum looking after Seb and Bella so it was great to head away knowing the children were in good hands. Even better being able to walk, have dinner, breakfast and relax without having to supervise small people. Think we need that every once in a while to stay sane.
Lila’s mum was here for 3 weeks and did her usual great job of pitching in with the children and helping out around the house. Lila and the children are now in Poland for three weeks and I’ll join them for the last weekend before we all fly home. They’re having a good time heading out to the countryside and making the most of the summer.
More soon.
